Epidemik baby box room. April 2007 Profile: DJ Vinyl Vera is a female DJ originally from London, now residing in Norwich. Her musical styleis an open book. She plays lots of various styles such as House,Break Beat, Hard House,Hard Trance, Techno,Old Skool Trance 96-2000, Funky House, Garage, Soul & Funk (70's & 80's) and Old Skool Hardcore 89-96. She has started DJ-ing in 1998 but has been on the musical scene since she looked like she was old enough to get in. She was a Club Ambassador for the Ministry of Sound from the moment the club very first opened in September 1992 til 1994. Here she helped promote the club in East Anglia. She then had a successful 6 year career with a local record label based in Norfolk called " NBD Recordings Ltd " (No Beats Dropped) , ranging from production to promotion. They made 13 pieces of vinyl, each with about 3 tracks per piece ranging from house and very early speed garage. Two of their tracks were played on BBC Radio One's Danny Rampling’s “Love Groove Dance Party" She then played a big part in a local record shop called " Play It Buy 'Ere" based in Norwich. Here she learnt her DJ skills and organized dance events in various nightclubs throughout the city. As well as having a part to play in many a tent party in the local area for the past 10 years, she has also had various residencies throughout the region Twirl Girls-Club M, Newmarket, Stuff Promotions, Ponana's, Norwich, OOPS Crew, London and Epidemik-Paradox Promotions She has played with various DJ’s such as Lisa Pin-Up, Andy Farley, Billy Bunter, Slipmatt, Ratpack , S-Gachet, Hixxy, Nicky Blacmarket, Baby D and many others.
Has played on various radio/internet station, Vibe FM & Kiss FM. Catch her shows on the internet with Unite Radio Thurs 8-10pm and History of Hardcore Monday 8-10pm.
